DJAD’s ability to understand a family’s needs to create the ideal home comes from almost two decades of experience in the residential and retail sectors.
DJAD specialises in housing projects with experience ranging from small to large, urban and rural properties.
Duncan Dalzel-Job studied at Newcastle University and worked in Edinburgh and Glasgow before qualifying as an Architect. He has worked at two companies, HTA (now HTA LLP) and PTEa; both nationally recognised experts in housing design. Projects included; designing homes for a variety of clients, Government properties, housing trusts and working with developers in the UK and abroad. Duncan has had a varied career, applying his skills at smaller, bespoke schemes such as working in building conservation in Kabul, Afghanistan with Turquoise Mountain in 2009-2010. Since then he has worked for a small housing firm in east London, Gresford Architects before setting up DJAD in early 2013.
In parallel to the residential work, DJAD has also worked in the commercial sector, developing property in the retail and office sectors, notably for Inditex (Zara, Bershka, Pull&Bear). Most recently DJAD has been involved in office upgrades in response to the changing market caused by the pandemic.
